obama misspoke. taken into a political context his comments are exactly right - people suffering from the variances in the economy hang on to certain things to decide their leanings/votes - guns and religion. his wording was poor but his point was dead on.

only bush.hilary.mccain can misspeak repeatedly.

mccain and misidentifying the sunni/shia in iraq, clinton and her health care fairy tale story and her sniper story. these get swept under the rug rather quickly.

I think it's abundantly clear who corporate America and the MSM want to win the race, which is probably the only reason she's still in it.

Yup.

My gut tells me that she's going to bamboozle her way into the nomination. The question is, how much will this affect the party?

Now this is some top quality spin. As if the same media that ran the bosnia story for about 2+ weeks is the same trying to coronate her. The same media that glossed over the "punished with a baby" comment and that had treated BHO with kid gloves until the last debate, and even then the questions were still relatively mild and still caused the obamabots to cry foul for days.

Given that the only way she can win the nom at this point would be through back room deals, it'll pretty much tear it apart. The blacks, youth, white-collar liberals, and much of the west coast Democrats will basically be told by the party that they don't matter, while the old white blue-collar east-ers do.
In an election that the Dems to lose, this will go down as one of the worst political mistakes in US history.

since last night from 98.x% reporting through now he has maintained as 45.7% vs 54.3% for Clinton. unless you are rounding up from .3% - that is closer to a 9% margin not double digit.

yet the major media always has clinton and obama at 55-45.

i have some screenies showing the PA site showing obama with thousands more votes with less reporting % than on some major networks at the same time.
since for our overhyped media circus this double digit hooplah is so important, these little numbers matter. which are the right results?

Talk about grasping for something. Perhaps it's time for you to donate more to the obamabot campaign to settle your fears.

It's an impossible scenario. The Democrats would never sacrifice the health of the party for the next decade just to satisfy the Clintons.

CNN's delegate counter shows Hillary needs a 32 point margin of victory in every single remaining contest to surpass Obama in pledged delegates in time for the convention.

grasping? when you understand the hyper-spin our media thrives upon, and how being able to say double-digit is a huge thing that validates hilary's win for everybody, then come talk to the people who understand the entire situation here. it helps to understand the system, that includes the media, the country, the attention span of people, etc.

perhaps when you stop suckin the Clinton teat you can join reality.

the first 40 minutes of that debate were a farce, and since you cant see that, you are obviously a bit drunk on the clinton kool-aid.

Hillary isn't stupid. It seems to me that she knows she has a means of getting the nomination. Otherwise she wouldn't have stayed in the race this long. She knows its not the math that favors her.

Just smells fishy to me.

And here's the 12 year-old Hillarybot troll.

I'm curious... did they question the patriotism of the white woman in the last debate? She wasn't wearing a flag pin either. Did they bring up her actual connections to '60s radicals? Let's not even discuss her and Bill's actual involvement, eh? Did they grill her on the political beliefs of her mainstream protestant megachurch pastor? Have they even brought up how (much less asked why) she's still riding on Bill's coattails even after all the times he's been unfaithful to her? Talk about marriage of convenience! Have they slammed her for every time (and these have been legion) she's misspoke?

No to all.

And why don't you say his middle name? C'mon, you know you want to, and prove to us all that the real issue here for you is that you're a racist. Don't hold back...

ABC has always been hostile towards Barack Obama. That's why I didn't even bother watching the debate.

I think yall are still forgetting that neither can win this outside of landslide victories through the remaining primaries. The dems designed their own convoluted primary election/nomination system and now they get to eat their own meal.

I know many of you are feeling down today, but I have found some good news for you. In poll responses most votes who stated they belong to a religious group voted for Hillary at a 60-70%, while BHO claimed the atheist 70-30.

Yep, that's it. I'm a racist.

Couldn't have anything to do with your boy Hussein being a wounded duck incapable of winning the national campaign as the more people learn about his snake oil salesmen platform the less that will vote for him.

Since people are not voting based on race (except the blacks whom are voting about 90% for BHO), why should race or gender of the candidate matter?

Yes only people who believe in Miracles and the power of prayer still support Hillary.

Hillary is truly the Saint Jude candidate.

Another ridiculous claim of media bias FOR Clinton? Wake up. Nothing was swept under the rug, you just seem to be ignoring all sense of context.

Obama's point was more or less right, but the horrible wording INSULTED VOTERS.

Hillary's hospital story turned out to be mostly true, and she was reciting what she had been told by a police officer. Not vetted well enough maybe, but not a big deal overall.
Snipergate nearly buried her. It was the top story and widely reported on for over a week, which is an eternity in the election season. But neither of these gaffs including a direct insult to PA voters.

McCain has made the sunni/shia slip up several times now, but you aren't going to convince people that he doesn't know the difference between the groups because of a verbal slip. That's not in the McCain narrative and it won't stick. Especially since the overwhelming majority of voters have no idea of the difference between sunni and shia, nor which group is allied with whom. Like Bush said: "thought they was all muslims?" And again, this wasn't something about the voters.

Bittergate had traction because it was perceived as a negative remark about PA voters and raised questions of elitism. Maybe right, maybe wrong, but if you insult blue collar PA voters at a private fundraiser in freaking San Francisco, you're going to be making the news for a while, sorry.

Great show!

I know! It's almost as good a show as your boy outright doubling the federal budget in 8 short years, and you still believing you belong to the small government party!

Set me straight on what? That your "Freedom First!" President has proposed a $3.1 trillion dollar budget for FY09? Or are you saying that that is not a fact? Or that the budget under Bush (with, I might add, a Republican Congress for the first 6 years) has increased, both by percentages and numbers, faster than under any other President in US history (except FDR in WWII, but not during the Depression). Are you denying that these are facts?

You won't be missed. We all know your only interest is your own greed in shorting the economy, particularly the housing market, down in the dust, and that any idiot knows that Hillary's and McCain's plans for the economy, while each different, will both do exactly that.

With the possible exception of Indiana, I highly doubt that Hillary will win any of them. Oregon, I guarantee, will be a double-digit blow-out for Obama.

Well, I dunno. Puerto Rico being hispanic skews towards Hillary and then there's these:

http://www.surveyusa.com/clien...4f2e-8dde-3f865c3d7ac5
In a Democratic Primary in Kentucky today, 04/15/08, five weeks to the vote, Hillary Clinton defeats Barack Obama 62% to 26%.

West Virginia Democratic Presidential Primary (3/13/08)
West Virginia: Clinton 55% Obama 27%

Sure those numbers will likely change, but thems some mighty steep climbs.

Do you have ethnic Puerto Rican splits? It's tough to guess when PRs might vote differently from the largely Chicano Hispanics who've already voted...

Research & Research
Sample size: 800
Margin of error: ± 4.4%
March 31-April 5, 2008 Clinton 50%, Obama 37%, Undecided 13%

The only circus in town is the new Republican party, with the big-spending, nation-building, big-government, neo-cons as the ring leaders.
