I've only seen a few trailers and it looks awesome in all of them. How can you go wrong with giant robots fighting giant monster aliens?

Haven't seen any reviews but the movie looks awesome. Robots fighting aliens will be kickass even without much story. As long as the graphics are decent I'll be satisfied.

Note: I am excited knowing this will be just a blow things up action movie.

Too much Tranformers-style CG. Will not see in theaters, unlikely to see at all.

The premise of invasion from the deep instead of the stars is spectacular! Ruining it with "dimensional rift" is t3n suck.

Well, to be fair, that's because Superman is terrible and Zack Snyder is bad and he should feel bad.

But yeah, it looks like it's opening Friday and has been seen by no one. Always a strong sign that they're trying to save the opening weekend profits by delaying the critical panning until people have already made plans to see it.

What do you mean by that? There's plenty of frue-frue theatre-hous-type movies out there that you can easily find. There's only so many mega blockbuster movies out there.

I skipped After Earth, Oblivion, Lone Ranger, just this year. Might see Pacific Rim and Elysium.

Saw the 7pm showing at my local theater last night. Work in IT with 4 other guys and we all went last night. Somehow got my gf to go too! She's pretty awesome.

Anyways the movie was a freaking blast. Lots of fun and it was one of the few movies that got me into feeling what the characters feel in a sense. Robots were awesome, monsters were awesome story wasn't too deep but just enough to get you engaged.

Overall probably 8-9/10. Won't win anything but great action, one of the best visuals and some pretty good acting.

Read a review that said a lot of what you wrote. Said del Toro's direction made a big difference. This may be the hit of the summer. Can't be worse than Lone Ranger.

Still trying to figure why they didn't build a base around the rift with tons of guns and such instead of waiting for the monsters to come to the cities to defend there but it is still a nice summer action flick.

This movie was not good. At all. And yes I know what kind of movie it is and went in assuming the worst. It was worse than the worst I had imagined. Glad I did B1G1 Visa Sig Fandango deal.

Was entertaining....expect what you should from a movie like this. It was nonstop action, explosions and cheesy hero shit.

Visuals are amazing BTW. This is the opposite of a chick flick.
