Sony.No one have betetr warranty. But you should purchase an extended warranty from the store you will buy it.

An extended warranty for a tube TV?

Well, its soo damn cheap, why not?

You never know when a product can break in your hand.I was thinking like you, but when i bought my tube tv today, guy said ($129 CND currency for 5 years, do you want it )...So for like $30 buck per year, my tv is protected.

Chance that a tube might break up....are slimm, but hey, i was having like a 1% chance of experiencing burning on my 46" hitachi very early, and guess what, it happen.

No more taking chance with my tv

Well, its covered for a year already. You should have a credit card that gives you an additional year worth of coverage. You're up to 2 years already. Besides all of that, its a tube TV. There are bad apples, but the majority are solid as rocks.

Just so you know, very very few CRTs are even 1 year anymore, Sony and Panasonic are both 90 days. So if card doubles your up to 6 months.

Sony Wega. And you'll need a forklift to move the ah heck too. I don't regret the purchase but I do wish I'd checked the maximum load on the TV stand I bought... fvcking Ikea.

Both are good TV's but for CRT picture quality I'd go with Sony... my 34 inch WEGA HDTV is awesome ... plasma or LCD its Panasonic all the way though.

Used to work for Circuit City/Sears and when I worked at Circuit City, I learned what the Trinitron Tube on Sony's meant. If you look closely into a tube TV, you'll see that the TV is composed of Red, Green and Blue thin vertical lines. In a Trinitron tube, these lines do not have gaps in them like other tubes. Check it out and see for yourself when you compare a Sony vs. any other brand. Sony tubes have the best picture out on the market, and their HD versions are incredible. Sony's are best in tubes. I just got a 42" Panasonic Plasma because in the plasma arena, Panasonics are very good. Hope this helps.
