Lol, I should've said "-ish." I made the very gross estimate of multiplying the remaining four months by four plus the last week of July. Still, there's some weight that needs to be lost. It's nearly a pound a week, which requires a pretty significant caloric restriction.

I do believe there are 5 months after July

Are you white or Asian or mixed? Hard to tell with your pics. Looks like me, except I have a little bit more gut/BF% right now. 205lbs 5'10.

I'm white I just tan very well, not really sure why I have lots of pale german blood. Got lucky I guess.

Eh it wont be that bad. Just have to stop cheating so much, which sucks because I'm being much more lazy now than I was earlier this year. Even if I only make it down to 225 I'll be ok. Shouldn't be long till I have abs

Felt really good today, squats weren't an issue at all even though my back was sun burnt really bad. I was talking to someone and they suggested I put the bar lower it may help my form a little. Also checked out the MMA gym and it's awesome, They've got all the weights I'd need Crossfit trainers MMA trainers all for 100/mo. Going in for some MMA Friday and go form there but I'm 99% sure I'm going to be there soon.


Oh yea weight: 233 surprisingly. I went out Friday and got shitty drunk and didn't make it to the gym this weekend I figured I added a pound or 2 but I actually dropped a few and I ate right before the gym which I normally don't do.

my knee hurt right as I was coming out of the hole squatting not sure why it's not been bothering me and hadn't hurt last time I lifted. It wasn't too bad I just didn't want to press it too hard so I did 5x5@215 by the last set it felt better so I thought it may have just been sore but I did a set at 315 and it hurt again. Basically gave up on them at that point, everything else went fine. My grip sucked from not DLing for a little while but it wasn't too bad.

Weight: 233, no change but it's ok. As long as I'm not gaining weight.

no excuse to give up squatting. if you had pain there was probably a form issue.

Not giving up squats, I guess I worded that wrong. I gave up trying to push myself for the day. My form is fine it kind fo felt like it might have been a little tight but I'm not sure I warmed up like I always do and normally after a set or 2 at 225 even if I'm feeling stiff it goes away but yesterday it did not. I'm hoping with some extra stretching today it'll be fine for tomorrow.

My knee was still bothering me but not nearly as bad as the other day so I toughed out 5 sets at 315 thought about adding some weight and doing one more set but decided not to push myself too hard. Other than that just a normal day in the gym, stupid bench stalled again.


Weight: 232, some improvement which is good. As long as I can keep is slowly going in that direction I'll be at or close to my goal by the end of the year. Not sure about my lifting goals if I keep cutting though.

Wasn't very happy wiht my squat form at 350 today it wasn't bad but there were a few reps where I stood up and wasn't vertical. I think this is mostly because I've been squatting light for a few days and suddenly made a pretty big jump in weight. I'll do 325 ro 335 next time and see how it goes. My knee didn't bother me at all which is a good thing. On my way to my first MMA training session of the year, I'll post back with ho it goes afterwards.

so tired after ~2 hours of mma. Just kinda jumped in and did a little of whatever some basics throwing and rolling and a little grappling. Then an hour working on BJJ pretty much free form the owner walked around and gave us pointers and stuff and most of the guys I rolled with were helpful giving me tips and stuff. I didn't get a chance to talk to him about the crossfit training they had I'll try to talk with him about it tomorrow if I'm able to get by then.

yay hit 7000 views, hopefully I'm keeping you guys entertained and motivated. Had another good night of mma tonight. Hurt my arm a little defending an arm bar but I only got tapped one once tonight and got someone to tap out with a rear naked choke my weight after training at 8:30 was 230 on my home scale which is typically 5 lbs higher than the gym scale, if it's still off by the same amount my weight may be 225!

Another hour of mma tonight, stupid tendon in my left arm is acting up again. I may take a few days off and let it heal, I'll see how it feels tomorrow. I talked to the owner of the gym some more today and found out that the crossfit may not be included and the weigh lifting may be by personal trainer only which would be a huge issue for me. I don't think I would be ok either paying out the ass for a personal trainer I really don't need and it would also suck to have to pay out another ~300/yr for the regular gym + 100/mo for mma training even if I can(if I had time) go 10+ hours a week.

yeesh. Run pantlegz, run.

And rest that tendon. You don't wanna mess around with that. Maybe do some active rehab on it?

Last time I got arm barred, my arm was "usable" within a day, but it took ~3 weeks until it was completely pain free and back to 100%. Tendons heal slowly, so be careful.

Yea this one has been on and off for a while seems to get re-injured easily now too. I'm gonna take it easy for the weekend and see how it feels Monday.

Run away from the gym that has crappy options that make you pay more and more

yea the only problem with that is they're the only MMA gym thats remotely close and by no means am I being pressured into lifting with them and I'm not sure if it's included or not I just brought it up before I left yesterday. I will be sure to get all the details before I sign up for anything, they seem like really cool guys I've been training for a week and they haven't said anything about signing up or money I really don't think they're trying to be greedy and bleed their clients dry. Or they're really good at putting up that front which is a possibility.

Just realized I forgot to post my Thursday workout here but I don't remember the weights. Did another 2 hours of mma last night, probably the only Monday I'll train there ever just happened to show up because I had free time. The plan was to get up early today and hit the gym but at 5:30 when I got up to shut off my alarm I had absolutely no motivation and laid back down. I'm just going to keep getting up at that time to see if I'm able to get in the gym before work because lifting then mma on tues/thurs is hell.

didn't press it too hard today just went easy in the gym knowing I had mma right afterwards. I DL'd one with standard grip and used mixed grip with each hand going over the bar which made them a million times easier and hopefully it'll help with my grip issues.

MMA was fun still have a lot to learn but I'm able to roll with most of the people there and not get my ass kicked instantly. Rolled with a hot girl too, it was interesting to say the least.

Weight: 233 I don't know whats going on here because I look like I've lost a ton of weight, my face is a lot slimmer getting more arm veins abs are starting to show more but the weight doesn't move. Maybe the scale is off?

Its always possible that you loose fat while gaining muscle mass... your weight stays the same but your bf% is lower and you look better.

that, or your scale is off

Just keep up the good work and keep getting stronger. Are you actually planning on doing weight class competition? If not, don't sweat the scale as long as you look, feel, and perform better.
