Better than anything else for the money, except for Costco pizza. To beat Costco pizza, you need to spend triple the money anywhere else.

what i dont understand is why costco's frozen pizza and their made pizza at the food court costs the same!?

I haven't been back to Papa Murphys since the first time I tried it and didn't like it much. I'd take Little Caesars over it any day - Think I should give them another chance though since I only ate there once. Need to find some good coupons.

The pizza that really can't be beat is Sam's Club take n bake, you can't even see the pizza itself there's so much god damn meat on there (the one I get is meat lovers or something like that). It's fricken huge, and for under $9. Unbeatable.

Also recently ordered from Papa Johns after not ordering from them for about 2 years. I placed the order online and noticed they have some cool options you can request for free. I had mine with light sauce and had it 'well done', I like my pizza a lil burnt. Wasn't really well done but they went light on the sauce which was good, I'm not a big sauce fan.

Whoa, didn't know Little Caesar's still existed. Used to eat that when I was a youth.

Had Papa Murphy's around for ages and ages. I remember before they were bought out and were called Papa John's or some shit.

They were not bought out!! Papa John`s is an entirely different company!!

Heat it up yourself? There is place like that right around the corner from me called "Homemade Pizza". It's alright, but when I want pizza, I want some of that good-old NY stuff I can get back home .

Pretty expensive? I think by far they're the best bang for the buck pizza place. I think it tastes decent too. It's great party pizza as you can cook em as needed and it's a ton of food for big groups of people for a lot less than any other pizza.

I wish I could eat pizza without gaining a few pounds.
It's all good to me!

I've had Papa Murphy's a few times and thought it was pretty dang good. For me, almost nothing beats Jack's frozen pizza though. :awe:

the pizza is pretty decent as far as ingredients, but homebaking is fail if you're not properly equipped.

there's a new-yorky type italian place around the corner from me, and they probably make the best pizza available locally, simply because they have real brick ovens; or at least they've found a more modern avenue to make it taste that way. dark and a little crispy on the bottom, but somehow not burnt.

even with something like pizza hut, as least they've put enough engineering into their stuff (they depend on the right cookware and a hot oven) that's it's at least cooked right. when papa murphy's really gets terrible is when you refrigerate it- the crust gets soggy.

Up the block there's a place that has a Flying Saucer pizza, 28" big and 16 bucks. It kills PM or LC or Costco, tastes awesome and is so big I have to put my back seat down and put it in the trunk. I dunno how they offer such a big pizza for the price but it's pure fucking win. And I don't have to bake it myself, but I don't think I know anyone with a oven big enough to cook a 28" pizza any ways.

pizza is dirt cheap to make. That is how Litte Caesar's still makes money off a large for $5.

Papa Murphy's just started popping up around town here. Personally I think they're really good although I've only had their stuffed pizzas.

Had one last night, Chicken Bacon Ranch stuffed pizza...it's amazing.

Costco pizza is shit, gotta love people claiming you need to spend way more to get a better pizza, uhhh no. Costco is a big pizza for cheap, that's the only appeal to it.

Is it better or worse than Sam's club pizza? Because they *only* thing going for Sams Club is calories per dollar spent. It's the most tasteless pizza I think you can buy. Sure it weighs 8 pounds...but the cardboard box has about about as much taste and probably a better consistency that pizza in it.

For take and bake I really like Nick & Willy's. It's like Papa Murphys but a little more trendy/high end in the toppings. But even their simple pepperoni pizzas cook up almost perfectly and taste great. They are definitely on the more pricey side though and no where the value of Papa Murphys.

Love Papa Murphys. Their dee-lite pizzas are awesome. And I often get coupons for that pizza for 4.99. Decent cardboard pizzas cost more than that and taste worse.

Little Caesars is not bad if it's fresh out of the oven. But it's definitely not my favorite pizza. The problem with the $5 pizzas is that they skimp on everything. I worked at a LC for 3 years back in the mid to late 90's and that's when they started the hot and ready concept, although when we did it, it was only one night per week and it was $2.99 mediums. But we used less cheese and less pepperoni than a normal medium. Pizza is pretty cheap in terms of cost to the store, but they aren't making a lot of money on a $2.99 medium or $5 large. It's just another case of making less profit per item, but selling more items.

I used to hate Domino's, but they changed their pizza not too long ago and the new stuff is a lot better. Still not my fave, but pretty decent for cheap pizza.

Papa Murphy's is good. I used to stop by there at least one night a week on my way home from work when we lived in Oregon. We don't have any stores in the Charlotte, NC area, so haven't had it in a few years. I just looked it up and there are some stores in NC, but the closest one is about 100 miles away in Greensboro.

Papa Murphy's is OK, but I can't justify the cost considering that I have to pay to cook it in my oven and then pay to cool the house back down. This is especially true when it's supposed to be 94° today.

There's a place on my way home from work with a thin-crust one-topping pizza for $4 and a regular-crust 2-topping pizza for $6. They make their pizzas fresh (as opposed to Little Caesar's hot-n-ready). They're at least as good as Papa Murphy's (I've only had their cheese, because I'm a cheapskate). They're cheaper. And they cook it for me. I can't see paying more at Papa Murphy's or much more at Papa John's for basically the same quality of pizza.

Costco pizza isn't bad by any means. I mean seriously, you could have Little Caesar's if you want bad pizza.

Papa Murphy's is probably the stupidest premise I could think of. Of course if I want to bake my own pizza, I just go all the way and make the whole thing from scratch and probably 1/2 the price of what any other place (including Costco) would charge, and have it turn out a hell of a lot better too.
