Since the other thread was more focused on the passing of Pope Francis, I thought there should be one on the new Pope. While the Conclave will soon take place to elect the next Pope, I found an interesting video that lists every Pope, from St. Peter to Pope Francis:
There are many interesting tidbits in the video including the 14th Pope, from Africa, Saint Victor I. According to this site there have been three African Popes:
It will be interesting to see how long it takes and who will be elected continuing the 2,000 year history ever since Jesus declared, "And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it".
