PC Games

I play a lot of first person shooter type games.
Games like;
Crysis
Call of Duty 4
Unreal Tournament 3
Frontline: Fuels of War
Company of Heroes
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

I'm not big into online playing. I just like to load a game and relax.
Do the following games have single player offline modes for the PC
Gears of War
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
Hellgate: London

Plus any other good games you recommned based on what I play?

Well I know for sure that Gears of War and Lost Planet both have single-player campaigns but I don't know if Lost Planet is any good or not. You could also try out the Half-Life games, BioShock, World in Conflict, Far Cry, and WarCraft 3. That's all I can think of right now but I'm sure I'll come up with more later.

Surely Doom3 is an obvious one?

If you never played it, Resident Evil 4 is pretty good, there are hacks to make the graphics look better. I never played the Gamecube version but I enjoyed the PC one.

Give Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III), Deus Ex and Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines a go as well, they are FPS / RPG hybrids.

Gears of War has a single player campaign, but it isn't that great and it's pretty short.

The Half-Life series is probably one of the biggest single player FPSs.
F.E.A.R.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an FPS/RPG hybrid, and I would probably recommand that over Morrowind, since morrowind has no guns.
Deus Ex is great, but old, and also has an RPG flavor.
Bioshock has a good single player campaign, especially if you never played System Shock 2.
