PC problem help

When I turn on the system all I hear is the long steady beep for couple second and nothing shows up on screen.
I cleared the Bios and nothing happen.
is my motherboard fried? or the hard drive failed.

could be bad cpu or ram, or bad mobo - or just something came unseated.
Take the entire system apart even taking out the cpu... then reassemble everything, see if it still does it.

Depends what the beep means. Consult your motherboard manual and see if the beep means CPU error, keyboard error, memory test error or what. Check all connections. Try with one DIMM. Try with just one DIMM, CPU and graphics card (no hard drives or keyboard or whatever else). Trial and error! Eliminate the bad part!

I was just happen to have extra CPU. I swapped that and it wasn't it. I pulled one the memory out and leave one in and even try them all on different slot, still no luck.
My next move would be video card and hard drive. It's a socket A motherboard.
It would be looking for a needle in haystack right now. If there's one available it's way too expensive. wonder if it's even worth it
to be paying for one.
I would just have to rebuilt the whole system with uptodate motherboard and CPU.

I was just wondering if there is any problem with the power supply unit; see if the PSU is fine. Beeps could originate from a variety of reasons; and a faulty PSU is one of them.
