So my PC decided to fuck up a week ago or so. When windows would load my desktop the computer would just restart. I tried to repair Windows because I thought that might be the problem, but it made it worse because the CD I had was fucked up. So Windows never fully installed basically.
So last night I took it to a friend's place. We tried his XP disc in my computer, but it wasn't working right. So we moved my HD into his computer and set up windows. It worked. Then we moved the HD back into mine, but it wouldn't even get to an XP screen. It would start, check memory or whatever and when it was supposed to go to the XP screen it would restart quickly. We tried his HD in my computer and it got further, but was still fucked up. It would get to where you put in your windows password (though it wasn't working right and didn't show the name)
What should I try next? At this point it must be a mobo or ram issue right?
