PC wont read 2GB SD cards

My system does not recognize 2GB SD cards. I have a Koutech USB Card reader, which seems to read 1GB & 512MB SD cards fine, but not the 2GB one. Recently I tried reading my dad's 2GB card for the same result. I dont know if its a hardware problem of one more glitch in Vista 64-bit OS. Every time I insert a 2GB card, the computer reads it as a removable drive and asks if I want to format it.
Any solution?

It's probably a limitation of the card reader itself, some of them have problems with SDHC cards at very large sizes; I know my digital camera's card reader won't take anything over 1GB for example. It's not a problem with Vista x64, I have a card reader built in to my laptop and it reads up to 4GB cards fine so far.

Change your card reader/writer. It has nothing to do with your computer. You should be able to confirm it by tethering your camera to your PC and using the direct read software that came with the camera.
