PC3500 performing lower than PC3200?

I recently built a new P4 rig and am puzzled as to why I'm getting such low memory bandwidth scores in Sandra. My specs are as follows :

P4 2.6c
Gigabtye GA-8KNXP dual channel ddr board
512 MB Kingston PC3500 HyperX DDR (2x256)
120 GB SATA Seagate Barracuda
Audigy Platinum
AGP Geforce 2 64MB Video

Sandra is reporting my memory bandwidth in the 4,400MB/sec range which is rought 2GB/sec slower than pc3200 is rated at. I am not overclocking at all at this point and am using the default BIOS settings which should be setting themselves to run at full speed. The Chipset info applet of Sandra shows that I am running at the full 800Mhz FSB and that memory is running at 2x201(402Mhz data rate) which is the rated speed for pc3200. Based on this, I should be getting a higher memory bandwidth speed.

Does anyone know why this would be performing like this?

Well, first of all, you'll never hit 6.2gb\s... that's theoretical, and not possible at stock speeds. I'd say that only being 600 points off isn't too bad. Check your memory timings? Maybe the PC3500 is running looser timings than the PC3200. Besides, do what the PC3500 was made for... overclock!

cuz 3200 timings > 3500 timings

I don't know about that... my Corsair 3500 is running at 448mhz, 2-2-2-6, with GAT fully enabled...
