PCI bandwidth for SATA adapter card

I am currently running a WD 160GB hard drive (SATA 3.0GB/s) through a PCI SATA adapter. It is quite a bit faster than my old IDE drive, even with the adapter being only SATA 1.5.

If I added a second hard drive, and ran it through the same adapter, would it create a bottleneck effect? That is, is there enough bandwidth through a PCI SATA card to run two hard drives at their proper speed?

If not, is it possible to use TWO PCI SATA adapters?

you might bottleneck the PCI bus when both drives are working together. It wont help to get another adapter because all the PCI slots are shared.

There is barely enough bandwidth for one SATA 1.5 through a PCI bus.
