Hey guys. At the beginning of the year I bought a Leadtek 6600GT retail and had problems with heat and instability. The only way to make it stable and cool was to put a fan directly on it and even then it was pretty hot, I think the card came with a bit of space between the HSF and the GPU.
Also, I had a lot of trouble out of my Hauppauge card with artifacts in my videp, in my board the only option is to put WinTV card close to Vid card, I hope the problem was with the video card.
Nevertheless, I would really appreciate some suggestions on a replacement, Newegg gave me the money back awhile ago no problems whatsoever. I need a PCIe card and something decent, not a $500 card but you know something decent. It is a Supermicro board with EM64T chipset with dual Xeons 2.8Ghz. I think my main requirement is to have a good card but without the problems, I liked Leadtek but now I'm hesitant to go down that route again. Thanks in advance.
