New Castle is home for me, I'm just on a 12 year and counting vacation in the south. Hope to return someday.

Pottsville, PA - Live & Work all my life

Pass by Unityville alot on my way to Worlds End (42 North)
Pottsville - the proud home of Yuengling (sp?), Pottsville sewer water piped into every home. Nahhh, just kidding. When I was working in Northridge, CA after the '94 earthquake a bar I was in was selling it as an import.

Unfortunately for you, the college housing is smack in front of the worst part of the city. There was this rehabilitation project many moons ago that sent all these Philadelphia criminals to Williamsport and guess where they ended up? Right behind all that housing.

Penn college is on the west most side of Williamsport, just before Newberry. If that is the most exposure you got of "Williamsport" then that is too bad. Williamsport ranks at one of the safest places to live:

No, not saying that, I just never had a job in Williamsport. I've really not had reason to frequent Williamsport. Grizzly store in Muncy - yes, Pennsdale meats - yes, but only spent windshield time passing through Williamsport.

Born in raised in Sothwestern PA, but had to move to the Boston area for a job...

Don't like the Patriots.. Go Steelers!! (I am a football outcast here.. whee!)

And of course, a Penn State grad. This years team may be incredible, but it pales to the upstarts of 94'.

Zort!

Unless you're going to the community arts theatre, or maybe one of the bars, there isn't much in Williamsport for entertainment anyway. Although, you really should try the Pineapple Grill up on Washington Blvd - great Thai food!!!

Born and raised in Carbondale Pa.

Home of America's first underground anthracite coal mine. The fourth oldest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Carbondale was home to the first million dollar corporation in America, The Delaware & Hudson Canal Company which revolutionized the energy and transportation industry.

My fond memory of Uniontown is getting into an accident at 522/22 intersection. Car making a left turn clipped the back of my car. Punted me over a porkchop island and landed in the nearby gas station. Car that clipped me pulled up, old lady got out of driver's rear door, pulled out a walker so the driver could support herself. 90 year old man in the passenger seat must have had alzheimers, because he was laughing hesterically and continued non-stop. She didn't have drivers license or insurance so we went to her nearby home. At 10am in the morning her 40 year-old son dressed in cut up bluejeans with nothing else on, sporting a Bud bottle, smashed off his a$$, anounced "who the fvck are these people mah!" After 20 minutes of arguing, he wouldn't let her give me any ID. So off to the police station we went, to clear it up. Was on my way from PSU to New Orleans Jazz Festival, what a way to start a vacation. I was waiting for Ned Beatty to jump out of the woods squealing like a pig.

Edit: no saying anything derogitory about Uniontown. I'm sure its nice rural living, but that experience was odd.

I grew up in Tryonville, PA, near Centerville, near titusville, 45 minutes south of Erie

Moved away, never looked back, nice place to live, bad place to find IT jobs.... I do miss having land I can fire guns on...
