That's why I tell people to never buy the Phenom II X2. It's probably the worst CPU AMD has come out with since 2009. Unlocking is a hit-or-miss, and if it's a miss, you're stuck with a measly dual-core CPU that's the same speed as a Pentium E6000 series. That, and you have to pay $85 for it, even though it's slower than the Athlon II X3 that costs $75 (even in gaming).
Try unlocking just three cores. If it fails, at least you learned to never buy a CPU for unlocking efforts (or I hope you do).
