PHP for IIS

I was thinking about downloading PHP for IIS from php.net. Has anyone tried it?? Does it bring any problems?
I'm running Win2K SP3.

I ran it on IIS 5 with W2K advanced server SP2 and had absolutely no problems.

PHP on Win32 works fine in my experience (with Apache, it should work similarly in IIS).

I run it no problem...there's even an installer for it. If you don't have a certain ocx on your system, you'll have to manually configure IIS to use the php.exe for scripting. It's all in the install manual, or if you prefer, email me and I'll send you the ocx.

For some of the php extensions/libs, you'll need to download the binary distro and extract those libs and extensions and also configure your php.ini for them to work.

MySQL also runs beautifully for me on win2k.

Just curious, but if you are going to run Apache to serve PHP pages with a mySQL backend why would your mess with Windows 2000 pro?

I have run the software in Linux, but I find myself unfortunately being "forced" to use Windows for programs like Photoshop (no good Linux replacements) and Dreamweaver (good Linux replacements exist, and I'm going to be trying some of them soon). So, at this point it's more convenient for me to have my whole development environment in Windows (my parents don't like me putting Linux on the computer they use for internet access, so it runs Win.NET Enterprise Server RC1). Soon, I shall have a dedicated Linux server to play with - but it might be an OpenBSD server instead.

Because linux is not a good desktop OS for what I do. I've tried it, and used it a lot. My 486 runs it, and I occasionally play with it a little, but Windows is just better for what I need. I use PHP w/Apache on WinXP.
