this is totally true...iv just finished listening to various songs on various albums from floyd and theyre more electronic rock than zeppelin(most of zep anyway...i always tend to make myself beleive that zeppelin stoped making music in 79) zeppelin is pure rock and role which is why alot of people who listen to modern music can't relate. but none the less, both great at what they do. unfortunatly, its impossible to have another real zeppelin tour.

No contest for me. I own most Floyd albums, and none of Zeppelin, though I do like Zeppelin well enough. But, all my friends and family play so much LZ, that I don't care to listen to anymore. Same with the Beatles. I only own a couple of their albums, because once I listen to one, I'm not in the mood to listen again for a while. Not so with Floyd, Bowie, Eno or Roxy. I could listen to most of their albums over and over...

I have to give the slight to edge to Zeppelin, because some of Floyd's songs are really annoying after a while. However, with that said they are really both equally great.

I like to listen to Led Zeppelin more but I voted for Pink Floyd because they weren't vacuous, apathetic, narcissistic, and pretentious.

Pink Floyd was IMHO more inventive with music whereas LZ did a great job with stolen blues riffs.

In terms of hard rock, I'd still place The Who over LZ anyday of the week.

Both bands kick a$$. BUT, more of Zeppelin's songs have more lasting power than Floyd, IMO. I am sick of most of the overplayed Floyd songs already. Whereas lately I've been rediscovering my catalog of Zeppelin ones.
