Not to get in the middle of this but there is a huge difference between a 17yr old and a 23yr old. I am not sure if you have ever read them but the mindset list by Beloit makes me cringe

For me my late teens and early 20's were the times that I changed/grew the most as a person. But hey if you think you can make it work good for you.
(16-18)
-in highschool
-live w/ parents
-involved in school activites/part time job
-planning on college
-planning senior trip/ Prom
-might have a credit card/ some bills
-does not drink or has to steal/bootleg alcohol
23+
-lived without parents for ~5 years
-pays bills (rent, phone, util, etc)
-graduated college
-has had sex with more than 5 people
-been able to buy booze for 2 years
Well again this depends on the person...
17-19
US Navy
left home at 16...
In charge of a 80 million dollar aircraft..
on a Nuclear weapons loading team responsible for learnign EXACTING PROCEDURES.
already had made 3 trips around the world..
already had had sex with over 10 people..
able to get into any club with a Military ID..
During this time I met MANY 17 year old girls and men that were WAY more mature and professional than ANYONE on this board.
Different Circumstances = Different maturity levels..
If I am old enough to serve my country and load nuclear weps im sure as hell old enough and mature enough to date a 24 year olf or above woman...
and Vice versa for Military girls that join at 17...
I dont see the problem here at all.. it is NOT a black and white situation...
