Yupp, you just turn around and - plopp - well over the 3 000 posts in a jiffy.
Well done FMC and WR, and TR-edge!
I give up - I am still correcting the exams and it is a major pain - not because of the volume but because of the lack of knowledge of the candidates!
Had/have to fail about 1 in 20 - which is higher than ever in my experience (i.e. in the past 7 years ...)
That sucks. You have to judge & correct them? Or are you more grading them & correcting them.
Grading and correcting and then judging them ...
You know, this exam decides if they can work as MDs or not.
If someone fails this exam, he or she has to wait for 6 more months before trying again. Considering the economics of that (6 months of wages for an MD is a lot of money) it is some responsability ... Therefore I have to be very clear and motivate every failing grade very carefully.
OTOH: these guys and gals have had 6 years of medical school, and 2 years of internship - they should know better than to fail, especially since they know exacly what is required.
There is a very clear curriculum available to all at the Swedish Medical Association's web site...
Passing grades are easy ...
OTOH: I am not alone. My grading is checked by a committee of 5 others, and they have - as yet - never overruled me.
