I bought a 1964 proof quarter ($.25 coin), which is 90% silver, for the exclusive purpose of playing quarters. So I have this perfect coin for playing quarters with, and now I just need to find a case to put it in. Awesome.

I remember when I had my newspaper route, You could tell if you were getting silver coins by the sound of the jingle when they gave it to you.
/me sighs.... sold them long ago in a particularly broke moment.

Yea... I have a 1964 Kennedy half dollar, just for flipping. I love the sound that it makes... The 1964 quarter has a nice tone too, albeit a bit higher pitch.

I have a fake coin with two heads. Mostly I win ...
It is made of a special mixture of metals and sounds like a teeny weeny bell.

I have a change purse filled with silver dollars and halfs. About 10 of each. I have resisted many times "cashing them in." for parts buying sprees.

I gave my coin collection to a girl I like when I was in like 4-7th grade (my memory sucks for those years). I wish I could remember her name.... Then I gave my blanky to a girl I liked in high school, I do remember her name though. Man, I'm glad I married Liz--all she wants is computer parts.

I'm already at work again? Wow, where did the weekend go? *thinks back to the AC dying in the house, again; the drink spilling on my kb and buying a new one; orangecello batch finished; motherboard should ship soon; a few hours spend on nef stats*

Oh yea, that's where the weekend went.

Um... reading of wrongs stats, which lead to a demonstration of the practices of Nef, which gave way to some good (and bad) poem writing. Then many began to ignore the thread out loud, which invariably led to the bumping of the thread for others to ignore. Something about a peanut butter and bacon sandwich and me being a bad influence on celebrities (thanks Spacehead). Coquito lost his chihuahua; Insidious lost car keys--coincidence, I think not.
Mention of TV shows brought mention of everyone's favorites... More ignoring, more embibing, some happy birthdays and happy Fridays...

That's pretty much it.

EDIT: Oh, and TAandy is hoarding the herd of VodKows.

This thread has been going somewhat slow during the week end. It seems thats that most - or all - had a good week end or that they had way too much to do otr that the weather was just too good to stay at the computers ...

I helped my fiancee to move to our new house, which was a - don't you dare to laugh - back breaking experience.
When I have sold my house (this week parhaps). Then I'll move too - which will be as bad or worse.

I love to move into the new house, it is wonderful, but I am getting too old for easy moving. Age is terrible, don't you agree RaySun2Be? I think I'll get myself - well not a cane, that is taken - but two canes. Two-Canes-Petrus. Hmmm, good handle.

I need a Vod-cow.
Now.
Not: soon, but now.
Not: really soon now, but right now, in this moment, at once.

Where is that d***d VodCow?

It is a blue and cold Monday morning.

...which will be as bad or worse.

So Peter, now you have it... I've given you your loophole..... RUN!

Oh man, you can't expect someone to run (atleast not in a straight line) after requesting an encounter with the vodkow... It would be like asking someone with a hang over to play for the drummer in a band.

Liz invariably sucks at surprising me. It's something that she communications telepathically or something--"I'm gonna try to trick you", and thus, it never works. There have been times when she was about to start trying to do something, and I told her not to, and she wondered how I knew she was going to do something, because she has just thought of it.

Today is Liz and I's anniversary--we have been married for two years now. And I got off of an insane 8 hours of work with the idea of taking my lovely wife out to IHOP, as it was just about the only damn place open at 6 am here in San Marcos. Well, she got me this morning. I got off work, and gave her a call to come pick me up at work (it's her day off, so I didn't need to walk really), and she says that she'll be on her way in a bit. She shows up about 45 minutes later, and I let her know that I won't mind driving home, as it custom as she just woke up. But she refuses repeatedly, so I get in on the passenger side. I then realize that she is wearing her sexy white outfit under a coat, which brought a big smile to my face. As we are going along, she starts getting into the turn lane to go towards our house, and not the direction of IHOP. She said that she forgot her phone at home, and I didn't see why she would particularly need it, but I dismissed it without thinking much about it. So we get to the house, and in our bedroom, she has a large bottle of wine sitting on ice, with chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries. In the fridge, she has the making for french dip sandwiches (she had asked me what my favorite sandwich was a few days ago, and I completely did not realize it was anything outside of normal conversation).

So we went into the bedroom, enjoyed our sandwiches and deserts and wine, while talking about the two years that we have been married, and the good and bad that has happened (an incredibly unbalance good to bad ratio, which the majority in the former by the way). I start scratching her legs and all, and I decide that I should take a shower, as Liz is quite buzzed at this point, and I did just get off work and all. So I go take a quick shower, and I get back to the bedroom, and my lovely wife is passed out. Poor Lizzy--she's such a cheap date. I guess I'll have to take advantage of her later.

Ya'll have a good one. :wine:
