OK, I have been around for approximately 2 years and I have not seen any "ignore thread" this long. The one which comes to mind is the famousd "Vod Cow" thread and that one was much shorter ...

Before 2005 --- I just do not know. Wolfsraider? Smoke? TAandy? :Q

In other forums, such as OT, I have heard of nef-fests which resulted in vacations - not because of the length of the thread but because the number of the threads. I have the impression that we here at DC have a lot more leeway ... probably because the admins do not see this thread or because it is only one thread or because no one has mentioned this thread to the admins or because it is not offensive or insulting. It is quite a feat to have more than 1000 posts in a thread and not to offend anybody ... can you think of a conversation with 1 000 exchanges of replies and no one gets hurt?

I remember one near a 1000 , and it does seem there were othersas lon or longer but that one near 1000 got shut down iirc before it crossed over.
