I've found in dealing with the Mods over the years, it's far better to be calm, friendly, and professional. Ask instead of demand, express concerns instead of yell. You know, act like an adult is supposed to act.

The problem is that all of my ignoring of this thread has been passive in nature,

which, it seems obvious, is not very effective.

Recently, several individuals have gone from active ignoring to hyperactive ignoring.

This could be called "HIATUS", meaning "High Intensity Active Thread Ultimate Sabotage"

The net result is that a thread is inundated with hundreds of posts

the sole purpose of which is to let others know that the poster is actually ignoring the thread, despite appearances to the contrary.

This is not unlike what I seem to be about right now

I would like to think that the actual purpose of this string of posts is much more lofty

but in reality, it's not.

You could think of it, rather, as a one dimensional array of strings - each string containing one post.
