I am planning on building a system and cannot make a final decision for a motherboard. I originally wanted to get the Abit IC7-G but have been reading about users coming upon a lot a problems. Now I am leaning towards the ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe. However, I was just reading an article on Tom's Hardware Guide link and they deemed the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP to be the best board. I have several questions. First off, what is the difference between the Intel 875P and the 865PE chipset? Second, why is it that the 865PE chipset seems to outperform the 875P in most of the benchmark tests? link. If this is accurate, would it be better to just get a 865PE chipset motherboard? Maybe a MSI 865PE Neo 2? Lastly, in the benchmark tests, I noticed that one of the MSI 865PE Neo 2's had a DOC next to it. This board seemed to perform extremely well so I was wondering what the DOC stands for. Any advice or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
