Actriz

Never make a pedestal you cant afford to fall
Cuase people like to crush you with them bitter tears and all
Youd think a boy at my age would be old enough to know
You shouldn't buy a ticket if you dont expect a show

Your an Actris but you play your part well
Even I fell in love with the lies that you tell
Your an Actris and the world is your stage
Go ahead play your part read your line turn the page
Your an Actris and the people will cheer
Cuase like me they believe even think that you care

People are like elevators made to let you down
Never put your trust in one just stay on solid ground
For every stage their is a curtain theirs an end to every play
If your heart cant find the exit this a trail to light way

Your an Actris even I see it now
But my heart wont believe so can you tell me how
Your an Actris your a real movie star
With the lies in your eyes i am sure you'll go far
Your an Actris so thiers no need to cry
Go ahead take a bow its a butifull lie

Youd think a boy at my age would be old enough to know
You shouldn't buy a ticket if you dont expect a show
For every stage their is a curtain theirs an end to every play
If your heart cant find the exit this a trail to light way

Your an Actris but you play your part well
Even I fell in love with the lies that you tell

I dabble in some (bad) poetry ;-)

Poem #1

Sing me a sweet song, o' wind.
A song of rustling leaves,
and babbling brookes,
of forest green, bountious

Let me run, through the trees unseen,
To sing that song,
to hear it ring,
That song, ' beautiful thing.

Poem #2

Slowly turning around,
I hear the sound,
Of your footsteps falling,
Padding softly along the quiet ground.

Your brilliant hair,
With which no one can compare,
A gracefull sight to behold,
Swinging silently through the air.

Your lilting voice calls out,
Carrying though the air... though not a shout,
Stikes my ears,
I turn about...

To see you standing there,
your beautiful smile shining bright.
I couln't even begin to fight,
that I love you with all my might.

No-one can compare,
It if for you I care,
I love you so,
Let me for you be there.

Always.

The mathematician

The mathematician, sitting in his cramped and smoky cellar,
puts the final touches to his masterpiece
and sits back to admire the new life he has just given birth to.
From the humble beginnings of "let x ="
it wove a tale of the rise and fall of the lypernov functions
better that any epic homer could have produced,
a frustrated love between markov matrices and cabali-yau geometry
that would put shakespere to shame
and, finally rising to a immutable crescendo with the last, simple line
so inbuilt with symmetry and style,
a masterpiece that none could rival.
When this theory emerged, full-born from the womb of the mind,
the mathematician could not be prouder of the vast potential this work, his protege,
to be quoted in every journal of mathematics for time immemorial,
to achieve the immortality of ideas, information, rather that flesh.

By chance or ill luck,no one will know
the work was presented in all of its glory to a group of doddering, senile scientists
smelling faintly of tweed and overused blackboard.
Like savages, they attacked his work with unprecedented brutality,
cruelly dissecting his functions,
ripping away at his equations,
until there was nothing left, but a scarred, imperfect, cripple
forever doomed to live his in the draconian imprisonment of reality
where mathematics had escaped from oh so many centuries ago.

The mathematician could nothing but sit idly by,
wincing as they reduced each of his beautifully crafted statements into common facts and figures
and when the scientists had finished raping his work,
creating the bastard son that stood before him this day,
they turned it over to the engineers,
to talk about feasibility, costs, and structural integrity
seeing even the sleek, precise lines being turned into error bars and probabilities,
this was the final insult for the mathematician,
to see his masterpiece turned into a machine,
something made of mere dirt and metals rather that the beautiful spires of the mind.

"a brilliant space drive was announced today,
a device that will open up a new era of human history"
the mathematician made a silent note to himself
that when it was time to apply for another grant,
he must be sure that it was on a topic that would be a great deal less useful.

there is nothing left inside
nothing left for me to hide
shadows of what could have been
now haunt the spirit within
i think back to those days
when there were better ways
to understand
what's happening
inside

hmm, i guess it's ok for something off the top of my head.

Thank you Thank you come dont everyone fight for the mike at once now. I guess ill lay you down some of my beat poetry ya dig- You may have heard this one before-

Avalanche

Falling down ({beat}12...12)
Falling down (12...12)

One man breaks the mold and then they all come falling down
Only god knows were their going no one turns to see the ground
Been to long along the one ways of a world that didn't fit
By the time you change direction then its much to late to quit
Your...

Falling down (12...12)
Falling down (12...12)
Falling down (12...12)
Falling down (12...12)

Standing firm upon their platform with a base made out of sod
It wasn't long before rain came, till the ice below them thawed
So they watched the few among take a gallop for the door
And they all jumped off the roof but no one stooped to check floor
One piece breaks away and then it all comes crashing down
I hope god is their to save us when our statues hit the ground

Falling down (12...12)
Falling down (12...12)
Falling down (12...12)
Falling down (12...12)

Its to late to stop the motion they are locked inside their fate
Knowing now that they are free no longer trapped inside their state
Walking free among street but paying heed stay with the crowd
Cause the others they know better there is no reason to be proud
One man takes the lead and they all start hanging on
Only god knows where he's heading better pray he wasn't wrong
Falling down, down, down
you can march to different drummers don't you ever march with me
only god knows were I'm marching I am far to blind to see
And I don't where I'm going and don't like where I've been
But once I've started leaving I'll marching to the end
And the rest will keep on falling till there's nothing left to fall
Cause they all land on each other till they form another wall

Still Falling Down (12...12)
Falling Down (12...12)
I'm Falling Down (12...12)
Falling Down (12...12)

I can rage and break away it only leaves me falling down
Only god knows were I'm going its to late to miss ground

Falling down

Beyond The Pear Tree

The pear tree?s blooms had barely
Sprung their tender shoots
Before he was shot out of his mother?s arms

Not knowing if he knew or caring if he cared
He was delivered into love so strong he strangled
Long after

Ohio wound its clock of memories
The pear tree knew its lines and delivered
Fifty years of certainty

But each Spring the pear tree?s bloom
Found an infant?s heart still
And waiting

The tree?s been pared
Tender shoots are now paved routes and
Mother?s arms are bare memories
Stretched somewhere beyond pear trees and Spring

THE CRICKET AND THE SPIDER

The Cricket and the Spider sat upon a stool
God is Dead, Cricket said; don?t take me for a fool
But God is here, Spider said; I see her in the pond
She whispers magic to me from the Great Beyond

(Cricket)
You spiders are all dreamers, without an evening song
And rapt up in finity, and nature?s wondrous throng
We are merely dancers in an endless dance
The music keeps us busy, the World moves on by chance.

(Spider)
The magic of each moment is spun before our glance
The music is the message, listen while you dance
God gave you Grace and Beauty, and her Eternity
You?re too busy with your own song to hear God?s magic plea.

I?m hungry said the Spider
Me too, the Cricket said,
As the Spider ate his head!

My Doldrums Defined

Fitness lack of two fisted shack of nothing but my heart
concerning loved ones, what ones?

Lackluster disaster sends taillights spinning, Invisible
concerning loved ones, what ones?

SOME NOTES ON THE ANIMAL KINGDOM

Mourn not the dinosaur trapped in the mire
Nor the doomed moth who makes friends with the fire,
Nor love-mad mayflies that mate, then expire:
One May,
One flight
To spend...
Day
Night
And an end.

But pity the kitty in futile travail,
Puss striving wildly to catch her own tail,
Fearful to grasp it, yet shamed should she fail:
Play
And bite
And pain,
Day
And night
And day again.

Now where gitting groovy-

Black Van

Ride away
Ride away
black van
Ride away

Turn away and don't look back,
He swore with no regret.
Just this once my swordsman I wish that you would crack.

Ride away
Ride away
black van
Ride away

Rallies and Petitions she was a women out of time,
But I met her out of season.
It was to fast for her to cry.

Ride away
Ride away
black van
Ride away

To many years of questions with nothing left to say.
I only see her in my dreams tonight
I watched her black van drive away

Ride away
Ride away
Black van
Ride away

So many things we never say
Why do I hear the things we did
Memories are here to stay Black Van wont ride away.

black van
Ride away

We're deleting your little verse in praise of marijuana,
and unless you get rid of your pro-drug sig, we may
delete you, too.

Anandtech>If the man has a prob with pro Mary Jane. Why does the Man give stoney a pic with a duby coming out of his mouth? The man is being a bit hipacritical! The man don't thing anyones going to mistake that for a cigerete!

But lets stay grovey

Highway

No one is so hidden
as the driver is tonight
when the sun no longer watchers earth
the dreamers will take flight

Black sky covers blacker roads
Sidewalks rush away
Street lamps flash like memories
And like fears they race away

Tires thump and mettle clangs
Its the rhythm of the road
The highway sings its ballad
In its own unbroken code

Street lines dance to street cars beet
Air to pull on hairs and seats
Strangers leave to fast to meet
As their worries fade away

The flash outside their window
Mirror dreamy worlds within
And the shadow mask their journey
From the world were troubles live

Nowhere but the in between;
Going nowhere but away;
Laugh and Scream! Laugh and Sing!
Run away from everything!

Minds begin to wander
Hands release the grip
Lust propels them faster
On a dreamers map less trip

In their minds they are Immortal
To the world they say good-bye
And there is no need for slowing
they will live or they will dye

The lines begin their dancing to
To a much more violent beat
In a a flash the eyes awaken
As the strangers brace to meet

Futile screams of rubber
Start their last unfinished turn
Loader scrapes of fender
as the glass and mettle churn

Dreamers stir from hiding
Words and fear return
The escape becomes a nightmare
As they wait for cars to burn

But strangers brace and brake away
Dreamers live another day
Laugh and Scream! Laugh and Sing!
Run away from everything!

Dawn?s Poem

I thought I had lost
the poet?s spark
in accounting charts
greenbar ledgers, columns and rows
By chance of time and weather
(oh praise to cold nights!)
soft beauty and sharp mind
framing a respectable nose
fueled the long-banked spark
until I remembered heat and fire
not a spark, a flame, desire
and a poet?s eye
to record love, loss, and pain

Here's one i wrote a while back...

Dead or Alive

If I killed you right now,
Stopped your heart with a single blow.
Would you be dead or still alive?
If your head I severed in two,
Your blood I drained till you withered and dried . . .
Would you be dead or still alive?

Are you a physical presence that embodies a mind?
Or are you a soul that commands a body . . .
Do you die with the form that is assumed to be you?
Or will you continue without your machine . . .

Where will you go,
Where does anybody go . . .
Where is there,
And where is here . . .
Maybe to heaven . . .
Maybe to hell . . .
But where is heaven,
And where is hell . . .

So are you dead?
I ask once more,
Or are you in another place,
Another world . . .
Perhaps another time . . .

If dead you be . . .
Am I dead in your eyes?
Is the existence you hold life . . .
That I, seemingly alive,
Am really more dead than thee . . .

So I ask you once more,
Are you dead or alive . . .
If I killed you right now with a shot in the head . . .
But could it be true and not falsified,
If you transcend your soul and leave this earth,
That you be alive, and I be the dead.

Long island, the place to be?
From where I stand I can not comprehend
How this road doesn't seem to end.
Out the window from the truck I gaze
And stare and wonder through the summer haze
How living this life in this pathetic town
Our birthplace, our stomping ground.
I don't understand, which is not so bad,
And that is the mystery as to why I'm sad

--------------------------------------------
Before entering the building she pauses to check her watch
And doing so she scratches her inner wrist with her polished clear coat index fingernail
The summer heat has already begun to bear down and create droplets of sweat beading on her cheek
And two of them are on the verge of running into her hair
A quick swipe brushes them away into her toned forearm
As her white Keds pedal her into the comfort of the library's AC.

----------------------------------------------

Selden the town of complete nothingness
The hot air whirls through my hair,
Eyes affixed on a standing creature,
A double take is necessary to affirm
Neither she nor I belong here.

The Place

After dreams shatter
And thoughts and feelings are numb
Where do people go to find themselves
Or what's left of the person they used to be
Is there a place where you can restore your pride
A place that makes you forget all who lied
Is there a place where they hand out hope
A place where even lead balloons will float
Does anyone know where a broken soul can go
Anyone know a place that will make a battered heart whole
Where is the the place where tired eyes will forget how to cry
The place where even with broken wings an angel can fly

thats one of my old ones .. but one of my personal favorites ...
