do you have $1000 for gfx, $150 for a good psu, and $200 for a new mobo? i think my new computer is going to cost around that much!
No it will be fine. It will have plenty of headroom.eh, i think 420w is pushin it with dual 6800ultras. if you are spending that much on a computer, at least get a good quality 500+watt psu.
It has just as many bugs as the ATI drivers do. SLI is fine right now.because SLi is in its infancy and has some bugs to be worked out
Well no kidding, however if he is comparing these 2 cards obviously money isn't a concern. The product lifespan would not be as long as it lacks support for 32bit fp, as well as DX9.0C (and SM3.0)the x850xt would be cheaper

Runs quieter. I doubt it... they are probably both the same. Remember the X850XT uses a dual slot cooler as well. Read Anands review on it. Less power... eh probably.
I agree with the rest of your statement.

linkWhile I showed in the first article that a pair of Ultras were sustainable using a high quality power supply, such as the Tagan in the SLI review systems I use, GTs are more attractive for those with similar high-quality supplies but with less sustainable output. The power supply is a major component in your PC system, and with SLI it definitely becomes a paramount consideration and I'd argue that it's the single most important part required for a stable SLI setup...

x850xtpe for sure, slap it in a dual xpress mobo. Run two of those on the DFI ultra D's.. Yum.
a good quality 420w might work stably with 1cd drive, 1 hd, etc but you would NOT have very much headroom. 4 freekin molex connectors JUST for the graphics cards...its ovbious that you want as much power as you can get.
Well...You did reply... So whats that say about you ?
