Oh, and to whoever that was yeah you old folks will definitely have a different opinion than I will, no doubt, but also realize that good sh!t actually has been made since Floyd. Hell, better sh!t I might add (imo). I could list a couple badass doubles but I doubt more than 2 or 3 people on here has actually even listened to em. Lots of good stuff out there. Lots. I dunno it seems like every single music thread ends up with me b!tching about old people and their music, lol.

I voted "The white album", with the wall, and physical graffiti running a close second.
I think some of the suggestions on here must be from thos under 21. Outkast?!?!? I have great respect for them, but in 30 years will anyone listen to them? The White album is timeless. It still sells a ton every year. In fact I bet more copies of the white album get sold this coming year than speakerboxxx.
I don't give a fvck about how many are sold, in 30 years I'm sure I'll still like to listen to Speakerboxxx. And yea I'm under 21, and yea I think I have pretty damn good taste in music too.

I will cede that music as good as Floyd has been released since their demise, but certainly nothing better.
98% of all new music is simply refinement or imitation of something that came out over 20-25 years ago.
LOL Boyz II Men.:laugh:Originally posted by: HeroOfPellinor
Okay, "Yesterday" was a good song, but I think I only like it cause I heard the Boyz II Men version first. And, really, the lyrics aren't even that great. Lucy and the Sky something is tolerable, but that may have been Lennon solo for all I know.

Oh bah. Music is definitely in the ear of the beholder. Floyd was good, I listen to DSOM all the time, but I dunno they were not god man (Corgan takes that, joking ). And no, 98% of the sh!t you listen to is simply refinement or imitation of something that came out over 20-25 years ago. Have a , I'm home for the holidays and my mamma is making loaded potato soup for dinner (this could be a good or bad thing, but I can't wait to find out).
**UPDATE**
The potato soup was, well, orgasmic. I normally hate her cooking, but damn this is good.
