Poll: Do you smoke?

Not just no, HELL NO! I can't stand smoking. Second hand smoke is the worst, I can't stand trying to sit in a social situation, and having someone blow their smoke all over the place. Here in California they don't allow smoking inside public places, and I love it. I used to hate going to clubs and bars and not being able to see accross the room because the smoke was so thick. And then, just from being in the club, coming out smelling like you just smoked two packs of Camels.

No, I don't really. I used to for a few months, but now I really only smoke a cigarette, or two when I get drunk.:Q

No I do not. I also wish the people on my dorm floor would not smoke either. The smoke is giving me a headache. :|

i dont mind smokin someone in cs sometimes but i dont smoke in real life yet. so far i dont think it was neccesary, but when i pick it up ill pick it up... no biggie. har har har. yes im a crazy mofo

The best way I think to go about quitting it to figure how bad it is for you, consider your body to be the most important thing in your life and start running/lifting. If that doesn't work after tomorrow, then Im gonna start chompin nicorette...

Smoking is a disgusting habit. In my line of work I see way too many smokers and the sequelae of their bad habits. Most of them drink too.

If teenagers could only see what it does to a body after thirty years of smoking 1-2 packs a day. Its sickening. I really wish they'd get the picture of how they can end up. I'm really tired of the "It won't happen to me" attitude. If I only told you some stories of what I've done to smokers...

Some people when they are teenagers do not consider things like "cancer", "emphysima" (sp), and neverending bronchitus. They are too wrapped up in what others are doing and being a part of it. I know I was. Now I regret ever touching the goddamn things.

edit: It seems like they aren't as glamorous as they use to be. It's even funny to me to see people outside class or outside their work smoking a cigarette like a wounded animal. Sucking down every last bit of nicotine they can get into their lungs. Its really a powerful drug. Anyone see that one movie with that guy from Scarface and that guy from Gladiator?

yes, i smoke, about 1/2 a pack a day...might be an excuse...but my life is very stressful...single mother of two boys...9yrs and 2yrs...my job is also very high-stress...as for those ppl who say they don't like cigs but enjoy a good cigar...i'll take my crystalizing cancer causing single menthol marb over your "cigars are the same as smoking 7 cigs" anyday!

I would never frequent any eating establishment that did not cater to smokers. And if smoke bothers you, feel free to get up and move.

I have asthma! =) but that doesn't really matter...smoking is a waste of money, makes you smell bad (unless you like that smell of course), and is just distasteful (to me anyway).

Actually I smoke Cigars on my smoke break so I'm out for 45 minutes at a time.

True Story:

My friend Alan used to work at Piper in the glass dept. They had a "group smoke break". A whistle would blow (think Flintstones) and everyone that smoked leaves. Alan walked with his smoking friend to the side of the hanger and hung out while they smoked.

The foreman walked by and asked Alan why he wasn't smoking. Alan answered, "because I don't smoke". The foreman told him to get back inside and get back to work.

The next day, Alan stopped by the 7-11 and picked up a pack of cigarettes. He would then take the breaks but hold just hold the lit cigarette in his hand and not smoke it.

Productivity in the American workforce: All hail the smokers!
