Ok I have a question about Kazaa and the RIAA. Let's say EVERY single song that I have downloaded I own on CD. I also have the button checked that will not allow other's to DL from me. Can the RIAA bust me for that?
Does anyone know?
don't worry about it. If the time ever came (which it wouldn't for a *long* time if you didn't upload), just show 'em that you owned all the cds you downloaded the mp3s from. Personally, i'd rip 'em all myself, because then I would be able to control the quality that the mp3s were.

Kazaa lite > Kazaa
Actually, there are some precedents saying that it's illegal to download MP3s even if you own the actual CD at the time. Don't ask me the logic behind it, I'll never figure it out, but be forewarned that that defense may not work in an actual court case.Originally posted by: DanFungus
