wtf? Hell no. NJ rocks. How could anyone say Princeton sucks, it's far more beautiful than most of the places I've seen in the Bay Area.

I hate that.

Jersey gas is pretty cheap because of their low fuel tax but it could be even cheaper if stations didn't have to pay peons to pump gas. Fueling takes longer, too, especially if you use a credit/debit card to pay.

Too many cool people from NJ (or living in Jersey) for it to suck.

One of the men that defined cool is from Jersey... Mr Frank Sinatra.

But yeah, Trenton... Newark... Paterson... ick. Then again, there are places of Jersey City and even Hoboken that are being redone. More and more people are moving their families into Jersey despite the highest average property values in the nation.

Then again I live in north Jersey where they have the Meadowlands and lots of STUPID big mansions for people like Stevie Wonder, Bruce Willis, and where other famous people (like Lil' Kim) have condos or apartments.

EDIT: in defense of North Jersey... there's Paterson (which sucks) and there's areas near me like Westwood, Paramus, Wayne, and the Caldwells further west that are quiet and very nice. The Sopranos is filmed in the area... Caldwells, Hackensack (which is kinda da suck in some places)... closer you get to the Meadowlands, the more it sucks.

Every summer I drive from Virginia to Maine. You can tell when you reach New Jersey by the smell.

What's wrong with NJ honestly? I never been up there nor do I want to. I just don't understand why everyone hates that place.

Its funny how NJ is the most posted about state on this forum. It always turns into New jerseyans defending our great state against New Yorkers and people who only saw it from newark or the turnpike as they drove through.

There must be something here that draws people, it IS the most populous state in the nation.

The majority of the people who post threads like this have never been to NJ.

You should not be able to post negatively about negative drivers if you can't even stay in your lane...this should knock out about 90% of the population of NYC.

NJ doesn't suck...if for no other reason than the fact that it houses me

A definitive YES! here. God, what an awful place. I posted another thread about why NJ sucks, but got hounded for some reason. F that, that place is a sh1thole.

I went to Virginia Tech too, sport. Guess what - Virginia is a hole. I got the hell out of there as soon as school was over. Get over it, the South sucks.

*shrug* I guess if you don't like clean air, beautiful scenery, low cost of living, and relaxed gun laws, then yeah, you would dislike Virginia. And you would looove NJ.

Jersey city doesn't look like beirut or whatever way you spell it.

Jersey is actually cleaned up pretty nicely.

It's a helluva lot better than most other highly populated city.

I say No only because living in NY the first 19 years of my life, Seaside Heights and WildWood NJ were my favorite places to go during summer. Now that ive been living all over the world the past 6 years and currently in hawaii for the past year, Id say in comparison, NJ sucks.

I am noting the lack of a broadband internet connection and retail stores other than walmart....

I would not like it there.

I'm pretty sure most of you haven't seen or even been to NJ except by watching the Soprano's or something.

Either that or you drove up and down the Turnpike or the GSP and that's about it.

I'm pretty sure your POS state has whether it be Bum Fvck Alabama or Virginia for that matter, has fvcked up cities or towns and what not.

I've visted VA, NC, and those places have absolutely nothing to do. Talk about a sh!thole. Those are the places where I'd go to retire and die eventually.

In defense of NJ... me and some buddies went to the city last night and i must say how disgustingly disgusting NYC is. ur streets are trash, subways are garbage dumps. and u got crazy people walking the streets. ur taxi drivers take people for rides and rip em off. the air smells like puke. howeve, id have to say madison ave was great. other than that, stop making fun of jersey. Jersey is historically important and we are smarter.

It's just like any other state, it has its good areas and its bad areas. I've traveled all over the country and there's nowhere I'd rather live than the NJ town I grew up in. Too bad I can't afford it yet.
