Hmmm...good question. I've never really kissed a girl.

I think I'd be both though...kissing with eyes closed seems more "normal" to me...but I really like looking a woman in the eyes.

Not staring - but it can be very intimate and romantic when you look into each other's eyes while kissing.

Don't worry toolgirl, I totally agree. Opening the eyes while kissing, in an appropriate way, adds alot to the level of intimacy. I find it to be especially powerful when both are staring at each other and one draws the tongue slowly over the lips of the other, so as to make an outline of the mouth. Try it, and you'll see what I mean.

However, I broke up with my girlfriend of two years a few months ago, so I haven't done that in awhile.

Yes, it is good when both pairs of eyes are open *or* closed, but not one or the other. IMO, though, both pairs closed puts more feeling into the touch sense rather than the sight sense.
