While they're not my absolute favorite, what limited amount of music I've heard from them has been good IMHO (except for the new stuff).

Oh, and while Newsted may have a great guy, neither him nor Trujillo can even hold a candle to Cliff Burton. That man was a machine on the bass, and wrote the best riffs ever. His death was the single most pivotal event in Metallica's career and is what started them on their downfall. If Cliff were still alive, I have no doubt that would still be writing music like RtL and MoP.

I know, I know, but how does Hetfeild pronounce the lyrics? Gyro! Sure as hell sounds like it to me! Very artful twist, don't you think? Jar to gyro, masterful!

But I absolutely cannot believe that you left out Master of Puppets.

Why exactly do you think AJFA has sh!tty engineering? It was done by the same dude as RTL and MOP.
