Supply and demand my friend. If they can charge $80 and still sell out then why not do it? I actually got mine on ebay for $40 a piece the day of the concert. Well worth the cash

No I hear ya, if they can charge it then they will. Though I will never pay that much. Glad I got to see it while it was still worth the $.

I was inline to buy some tickets for ministry and the guy in front of me was picking up some metallica tickets. He wanted 3 and it came out to be like $287.

Charging $80 for a show leads me to believe two things:
1.) Yes, there are people who will actually pay that much
2.) The band is greedy

i really dont undesstand why all of you hate Metallicas stuff after teh black album so much, its really not that bad at all, i like at least half of the stuff on load and reload, S&M was just plain cool, and St Anger isnt THAT bad, ive been a fan sence the old days and still like them very much and will listen to just about all their songs and like them

I liked Load and Reload St. Anger wasn't for me though.

We actually agree on something. I mean sure there new stuff isn't considered to be as good as their old stuff. However their new stuff (load, reload, st.anger) is not bad. And I will say that even their "bad" stuff is still better than 95% of the other cookie cutter, 3 chord song, bands out there.

There are bands putting out much better metal these days. The only thing keeping metallica alive is the fanboys who will worship everything they put out. On a side not can't wait to see Megadeth next weekend, a band that actually still plays metal.

MetallicA are pioneers. Think of each album since KEA. You don't think they can still put out the heavy stuff if they wanted to ? Hell they still play it at their concerts, what's the difference ? Just as fast and furious. Each album since TBA doesn't "suck"... it's simply a dynamic sound from what was before it. Dare they try something new as musicians ? They aren't always there to please YOU. That would be greed.

Learn to say something new besides "they sold out" or "they are just greedy". :roll: If you don't like their new sounds, so be it. That's not a valid reason to say they "suck". If they suck, they wouldn't still be selling out shows into their 40s at $80 a pop.
