Never scratched a screen. I've cracked two, but screen protectors don't protect against drops.
My phones are always naked, no case or screen protector.
I do not use them. Handle your phone well and it won't be a problem.
Do you think that an unprotected screen will have zero scratches or signs of use after 2 years?
Decided not to go with one with my N4 but it has since developed a small scratch and lots of little micro ones. Bought a Zagg Invisible Shield to prevent anymore from happening.
Maybe, maybe not. I never keep my phones for two years, they lose too much value by that time. If I did keep one that long I imagine it would still look good as I am very careful with my phones.
Do you have car insurance? Why? Arn't you careful with your car?

Never used one, never will. Frankly, I hate how some of my co-workers phones look after they've covered them in all these layers of plastic. First some ugly case making an otherwise sleek device into a garish looking brick, then a shield over the screen. I know to each their own and all, but to me it just seems a bit ridiculous to make something hideous in order to protect it from... looking hideous?
I've never covered any of my phones with anything (DX then SGS3 now Note 2) and the screens remained/remain pristine. (The DX and SGS3 despite a few drops. My N2 still looks as new as the day I bought it).
Cars are in an entirely different order of magnitude of expense, chance of being in an accident in a car is very real due to factors out of one's control, and car insurance is mandatory by law.
Screen protectors on a phone are mostly just a scam. Modern phones don't need them if they are used reasonably; they can go their entire life without scratches on the screen even if that entire time they are often in a pocket.
