Possible problem with power supply

I recently transfered my 9800 (flashed with pro bios) and my audigy 2 ZS sound card to a different computer. The computer powers a amd64 3400+, 1gb of ram, 1 hard drive, 1 dvd drive, and the recent graphics card and sound card I put in. The computer originally had a fx5200 and no sound card. Keep in mind this computer is made by compaq. While playing World of Warcraft today (second day since installing the new componets), my screen went black and the computer crashed. I turned it back on and all was fine again. My question is: Does a lack of power cause this problem? It only has a 300 watt psu and it is the one that came default in the compaq computer. Is 300 watts enough to power everything I listed?

That would definately appear to be a problem with the PSU, and 300 is likely not enough especially if it is a low quality PSU. For your system I would recommend a 450 watt PSU from something like enermax or antec. Quality is really more important than the wattage rating when buying a PSU so do not go with a cheaper PSU with a better wattage. A 450 watt enermax or antec would give u all the power you would need and probably leaves some room for upgrading.
