It's not so much that these setups are ugly it's that you can tell these people are actually trying to make things aesthetically pleasing and it's just appalling.

Refaced the fireplace and put up a plasma TV.
Just finished it last weekend. Took a month to complete.

Before

The fireplace was shortened on the sides which is why there's concrete exposed. Hardwood flooring is coming soon...

A bunch of Monoprice cables running through the wall, connected to Monoprice wallplates.

Its not even a TV lol, its from our old Commadore computer set up, just composite video in and mono audio in, I was using it for a wireless video camera so when I record vocals or guitar or key board or whatever I can see the person singing/playing. People I think felt uncomfortable with it so I took the camera down.
