The first 750,000 for me took years... then I did 750,000 last year in the race in a month.

This year... I did 4.6 million in a month! And I hit 6 million yesterday! I hit my goal for the race.

I have got myself three more GPUs and discarded 5 dual core computers. Considering all - GPUs are very efficient to say the least ...
I wish more biological projects would use GPUs (I know --- Folding@home does). I am thinking of MalariaControl.Net, Rosetta@home, POEM, some projects in WCG and similar.

Hmmmm. Produced 1.724 million points today. Highest ever since I started crunching. First time among the top-100 producers in BOINC-total.

Just remembering it took more than five years to crunch the 1st million points - and now that is done in 2/3 of one day.

There must be some cobblestone inflation? Or am I wrong? Are the GPUs so powerful?

I think this is it! Amazing isn't it? xD
However, I don't think all projects give out points as readily as each other for the same amount of CPU time and FLOPS. So it does depend which projects you are comparing, too.

Hit 5mil mark for TeAm in F@H over the weekend. Now over 15mil total with past history included. Wish I could afford to run more than two computers, it would make this go a lot faster.
