Power issue with Razer Diamondback

I finally got my computer up and running, updated, burned-in and what not but I have one problem left. I went to RazerZone support for this and chatted with them and I think I stumped them. Ok, here's my problem: Alot of the time (Not always, though) right when WinXP splash screen comes up, and it loads all the devices, the Diamondback will flicker on and then go dark again and I have to unplug/replug it back in for it to turn on. If the mouse stays on when I get to the login screen I'm good. This never happens durning POST or right when the computer first turns on. It's only at the WinXP loadup and it happens frequently but not always. It's really irking me because I can't nail it down. I went into Device Manager and my USB Root Hubs on the motherboard are rated for 500 mA per port and the Diamondback only requires 100mA. The mouse shows up correctly in mice as Razer Diamondback Optical. And the drivers were installed correctly. I am totally confused as to why Windows won't power it up sometimes, but other times it will. My mainboard is an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum running Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 and all updates. I've tired putting it on other ports and it still does the same thing. If anyone has ran into a similar problem I'd like to know about it. Any help appricated thanks...

im having this same problem man and havent found a fix yet either. sometimes it works...... sometimes i have to unplug/replug it. very annoying.

noremacyug, I have been in contact with razer tech support in resolving this issue and they are putting out a beta driver for the diamondback and are working on finalizing the drivers for release. I gave them alot of data to work with and Paul from razer zone has been most helpful in solving this problem. He said this driver update should fix the power issues under Win XP. Keep ur fingers crossed heh...

I had the same problem but found a quick fix for the time being. Just restart your computer and it should be fine. Apparently the mouse requires a decent amount of juice and a 'cold' start just don't give it.

razer engineers know of this problem and are gonna release some drivers ro firmware to fix it i think.

edit: also, its bump every 4 hours as per forum rules.
