Power problem.....I think.

During regular computing use, my PC will reset on its own for no apparent reason. Any running software runs fine which leads me to believe its a hardware problem. Its a 1.4 Ghz Athlon with 256MB DDR PC2100 RAM, GeForce4 MX440. I built it in about May and have replaced nothing but the 300W power supply that burned out. The power supply came with my motherboard and chip so that was odd why it burned out. So I put a new 350W power supply in it and it seems like since then, my computer would just reset for no reason on its own as if someone yanked the power cord out and plugged it back in. Sometimes it does it when its just on being idle. I'd like to know what is causing this and how to fix it. Could it be just another cheeseball power supply? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 1.4GHz Thunderbird Athlon pulls more wattage than an AthlonXP 2700+. How about get at least a quality-name 300W or higher, here's the minimum I'd try: Sparkle Power 300W They also carry 350W and 400W versions if you want more reserve or have lots of drives, cards and/or fans. The Antec TruePower line are also pretty nice, or Enermax too.

Another thing to look at is the voltage selector on the rear of the PSU by the fan, make sure it's set for the right input voltage (110V or 220V). A co-worker of mine had the random-reboot problem and this turned out to be the cause.
