Power supply recomendation?

I need to replace a friends power supply (starting to make noise). It is an asus AV7 with 900 MHz Thunderbird and a ASUS GeForce DDR video card. I believe Enermax is one of the best names, but I want some reviews and recomendations. I know I don't want to go below a 300W, but I don't want to throw away money. I'm looking to spend between $50 and $80 if possible.

P.S. If anyone knows of a special for price of two - I actually need two of them. My own is beginning to make noise too.

you won't go wrong by getting an Enermax psu!
can't give you a link for a review just off hand though but I'm sure someone else will be able to.

I remember reading a review of one of their units (530W I believe), and the reviewer was positively golden on it, but I don't remember the site. I did a quick check of Anandtech, Sharkey Extreme, and Tech Extreme - and didn't find any. Don't want to spend money I don't need to, but I want a quiet unit that will run for a while before replacing.

530Watt is OVER KILL!!! 300Watt is more than enough, and the Asus mobo is an Asus A7V. Enermax is the one for you! They are reliable enough for you!

I took everyones advice here and bought an Enermax 431w for 85 bucks. It solved my boot up issues.

Thank you for the review site! They liked the 330 unit, so I think I'm going to be buying 2 of them (one for my friend and one for myself). I just got an email from another friend of mine who's computer just started making noise. If it is the power supply I guess I'll be looking for a quantity order!

Unless you have incredibly loaded systems, Enermax EG351P-VE's will be more than adequate. Run a search here and on other forums if you want to read their praises. If you know much at all about electronic components, you will quickly realize that they are a cut above, once you get your hands on one.
