Ok, I dont if its just my imagination or what, but after rearranging my power cords in my pc tower, I find that I get less stuttering, smoother gameplay, while playing very high graphic games(with 16xAA etc). Also, my hard drives and windows seems even quicker then before. Dont get me wrong it was very fast before, but after switching the power cords around to feed my components, it was like I overclocked my system all over again. Is this even possible, my power supply not giving enough juice and causing my games to run slower? I just find this hard to believe. My power supply is a generic 520watt and its running 4 fans, one very powerful, a 8800gts and a e6600 overclocked to 3.4gigs. According to the stats on my ps label, it has more then enough juice. Orthos ran stable even before I switched around the power cords. I remember before with my other system(different power supply) I could only get my system stable by setting up the power cords a certain way.(ex. having one branch just feed the video card, while the other branch to feed other components) So, back to my question, am I just imagining things here, or is there any truth to this? If Im convinced it does play a role, Ill have to get me a better made ps incase Im missing out on any more improvements. Appricate any feedback.
