It's only a 10 page show, three of them are an excel chart. I plan to take copies of the chart to hand out as it's a bit intense to look at on the screen.

Should I print out the whole presentation for them, or just the charts?

Bonus question:

It's an inter-company interview. I've been here for 10 years, but this is a new ballgame. Not wearing a suit, just shirt & tie. White shirt or blue shirt?

Any other great advice? I'm not drinking a beer before the interview, so leave that one out

Unless you're interviewing to become a pron star, I would suggest wearing pants.

Im not sure how applicable this is to you, but a good guideline is to make your slides so that the 'take-home message' is very apparent and that if someone found a random slide from your presentation on the floor, they would be able to fully understand what you wanted them to get from that slide.

You should never need handouts or anything of the sort if you make your slides correctly.

Of course, other tips are never use text size smaller than 14 if you want it to be legible and arial style is one of the preferred fonts for presentations. I would wear an blue shirt with a decent tie and brown pants.

Thanks mooglemania, that's good advice

Tiamat, I tried my best to follow that advice. I also used a Sans Serif for headlines and nothing smaller than 24 pt font. It's pretty concise apart from the excel chart. Thank you for your suggestion, I appreciate it.

If it is a powerpoint "interview" then I havent an idea. If this is a presentation and not a interview or a presentation which will be a part of an interview , a general rule of thumb concerning power point or any other presentation is for the slides to only outline the material and for full interpretation your narration will be used.

That is a personal style and the best presentations I have ever seen, Steve Jobs etc.. are outlines with the narrator doing the bulk of the "presenting".

Goodluck!

In general, a powerpoint presentation shouldn't be "intense" to look at on the screen. A powerpoint should contain overview information that you flesh out verbally. I would bring print outs of the spreadsheets, but what's the point of putting the spreadsheet in the powerpoint if you're going to direct them to look at the print outs anyway?
