Powershot S200 - $199

OK, I did some hard driving tonight and managed to snag a couple of S200's. After driving 1/2 way around MI I finally found a store that, although didn't have any S200's, had a manager who was happy to check the region's inventory and direct me to a store that had no A40's and four S200's, of which I bought two. The price is $199.99(+tax) with no chance of using a coupon. There was still two left as of closing time tonight so if you want to know where the store is, PM me. BTW it's in the western metro Detroit area. First 2 PM's only - I wanna keep this store sweet!

so apparently my OM is a bunch of (curseword)
i bought the s200 on sunday for 200, they wouldnt let me use staples coupons and now i called back to find out if i could use the online coupon or the phone one and the manager said you cant use it on sale items?

I don't think you have much to complain about. You got a great camera at a great price.

Anything other than OM in-store coupons are accepted at the discretion of the store manager and varies from store to store. Stores with less business will tend to be more amenable to coupons.

For those of you who have had such problems getting it at the store, you can phone in to OM CS and they hooked me up. Just tell them you want the A40 but you can't get it online or at your local stores. Then tell them you know the S200 is a substitute. The CSR will confirm with the manager and you're rollin. Now, you need to use some coupons, right? They won't take competitors coupons anymore (this is what they told me anyways). I ended up faxing them the coupon that I printed off from online ($30 off $150) because I cant find the stupid code anywhere. I called back to make sure they had received my fax and then continue with the order and the guy just gave me the $30 off...be nice, eh? He decided to be really nice and use another $30 coupon because my total shows $154.01 after $14.xx in tax. Not too bad for a S200. Good luck

I just tried callin them, and they said that "since we don't carry the item (the A40) on out delivery system, we can't offer the substittue for you" or something like that.... man. really want this camera, gonna go try gettin it at my local store again....

I just got back from OD. They didn't have them in the store but they had like 17 instock at the local distro center so I just placed an order for one at the store. Simple Should have it either tomorrow or Monday. Good times
