Problems - Computer Won't start up

i am having bad problems with my computer as sometimes it does not start. I used to turn the power on and nothing would happen. Anyway, after repeated attempts, it normally started up. Now for some reason it just won't start. Can someone guide me on a proper course of action.

when you press the power button, do the fans spin up or does the computer do absolutely nothing? some specs on the computer might be helpful

Im having that problem too. The fans spin up, but it doesnt boot until I hit the reset button. What could cause this?
