I'm having some trouble setting up a FTP server on my computer.
I am trying to use Filezilla, I have ports 21 and 14147 unblocked.
I made a static IP address, or at least I think I did, and when I look at my ip in ipconfig it's the ip i set it up to, but when I check it out on a website like whatsmyip it gives me a different one, which apparently is my public IP.
Filezilla won't connect regardless of which IP I use. At one point I got it far enough where it connected, but that it would get stuck authenticating (later on I found out that you use your windows password as a adminstrator's password to get in), I have no idea what I did and I tried to retrace my steps, but I can't remember.
Using 127.0.0.1 works for me, and I have tried to login with my firewall off.
I just can't figure this out, hopefully you guys can help me out in what is probably a minor problem.
I am using a wired connection to a 2wire router using ATT Uverse if that helps.
