no, i have the 5 disk version and it can be patched no problems at all.

That won't work because Far Cry doesn't do HDR quite the same way as Oblivion does.For AMD cards, can you instead use the trick of renaming the game to Oblivion.exe?

Have you run your system at stock speeds?
