Problems with iTunes 6.0.1

I just installed the new itunes and I've come across a wierd problem. I now tends to skip but a lot more than ever before. For example, it skips when ever i open certain folders. And if I right click an a file in a folder, itunes stops completely, but start right after a click elsewhere. Also when ever I use the buttons (etc) my cpu spikes to 100%. I dont see why this is happening, my computer specs are more than enough to run itunes. The is one thing i can think of that may be causing the problem. I recently installed windowblinds and mltipack plugin (allowing to use diff skins for itunes).

What could the problem be?

Sounds like thrashing if you ask me. How's your ram?

i have pc3200 and there is at least 600 free when comp is idle. iTunes take anywhere from 15 to 70 mb depending on the situation.

Have you tried uninstalling the plugin?

i was hoping that there is a alternative solution to that because i really like the iTunes skin.

Well, you have to eliminate possible culprits. If it's the plugin, then that's where you need to troubleshoot.
