Procomm plus for dos help?

I am trying to run an old procomm plus v2 for dos on a win98 533mhz system and I am getting a runtime error.
From what I have read, there is some sort of timing dependant code that doesn't like to work with faster CPUs.

I have also read that a patch is available,


if anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it I would appreciate it as I still need this program to interface w/ one of my suppliers proprietary software for my business.

I remember running PCPlus on my old computer. Oh yeah, that was 9 years ago on my DX2/66. Tell them to upgrade their software.

Gotta switch to procomm 95 for windows. Pretty hard to find nowadays though. As far as being speed dependant goes, there may be no way around that problem. Unless you use a processor slow down program like they used to make for DOS games that ran too fast on newer computers. Search for programs that slow cpu down on some place with old software like www.cdrom.com
