Prophet MX & Q3A lockups

Whenever i play Q3A with my new 3D prophet2 MX, it locks up after about 3-5 minutes of playing. I have heard that other people have experienced problems like this, but I know of no solutions. I've run some madonion benchmarks and they dont freeze at all so I am unsure as to what the problem is.

celeron533a, 256MB, 3D Prophet2MX w/ nVidia ref. 6.31 drivers, MSI BXMaster mainboard.

I've had something similar along those lines.
One concern could be you might be overclocking the mx card a bit too much.
Quake 3 does stress the card a bit more than mad onion.. or it just could be that for me in win2k.
I've been unable to run quake 3 because I always get a console mismatch error or something like that.
Anyways.. good luck and check teh overclocks if you got any.

No overclocking whatsoever, i havent even put coolbits into the registry. i am running win98se too.

I've had no problems with it. Though, I do not remember which drivers I have - 6.18 or 6.31. It's what ever one was released in mid-August. I have a P3-500, Abit BX6-2 256MB. Wonder if it might be something with the MX board and the newer drivers. For that matter, I've played hours of Elite Forces (Q3 engine) and didn't have any problems with that either. Sorry I cannot provide more help than that, but I thought that I'd tell you that it there does not seem to be a problem with the board (in general) itself. Probably either a driver issue or a driver/board combo thing...
