This, in spades. It's not all bad though. NPR is highly liberal, but recognizes that fact and makes an actual attempt to be fair. CSN (Christian Science Monitor) is surprisingly neutral. So is ABC News Radio, last time I heard it. (My local station replaced it with FoxNews Radio, which . . . not so much.) But in general, you nailed it. The news business is almost all advocacy with ratings thrown in.I mourn for our media sources, the Wikileaks emails showed collusion, and I hate the Breitbart/Drudge stuff, it's spun just as bad from the other end of the spectrum.

I'm all for voter ID requirements, but we need a federal law setting the number of polls by geographical distances and by registered voter population. If a state truly cannot afford the required number, then let Uncle Sugar put on our Chinese account, but no state should have the right to skew voting opportunities for political advantage.

Obama doesn't even condemn them, the riots. Instead he says don't "be silent". Which is all fine and dandy when talking about protests and standing up for what you believe in. His lack of even talking about or calling for peaceful protests and asking rioters to stop is sad. You can tell people to keep protesting if they want to, to not be silent, and still condemn the violent riots that some protests turn into.
With him saying that, and not saying that, Hillary saying "keep fighting", no wonder it still happens. Imagine if it was the other way around, and they said "Stop it!" like Trump did. Media would have a field day. Or if it was Obama and not Trump who was assassinated in a school play after election. But since it was Trump assassinated in a school play, its ok.
