Been watching the E3 coverage on G4.

The PS3 games look stunning. Jaw dropping stunning.
The Xbox 360 games I've seen look like old xbox game with just a few more polygons.

Think about it for a bit.

PowerPC is originally designed by IBM and other folks.. The chips IBM designed are being used in Xbox, right? I mean they aren't like using Motorola chips.

Now the PS3 Cell is a conglomeration of Toshiba + IBM + Sony working together with their latest technology to develop the end-all of end-all when it comes to embedded style multimedia multi-core CPU.. the Cell.

And I figure no love is lost between IBM and Microsoft.. so who do you suppose would end up with the more powerfull setup?

If it's true about Xbox being outclassed by PS3, then all MS will do would be to delay Xbox a bit more and get a slightly more powerfull setup.

Contrary to popular belief, the Xbox 360 is more powerful than the PS3.
Not only is the Xbox 360 faster than the PS3, it has a sweet game lineup. Perfect Dark 0, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 3, Quake 4, Gears of War, Project Gotham Racing 3, Dead or Alive 4, DOAX2, UT2007, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, and of course Halo 3. There are a good bit more games that I havent read up about and they could be sweet as well.

PS3 Hands Down, no questions. First Sony Playstation has better games and is a better brand, Xbox has no experience in the field. Second the PS3 is far superior than Xbox360 in every way, and most importantly in the selection of games that's going to be available. Besides Microsoft said it themselves, X360, isn't really Xbox2, it more like Xbox 1.5, which only consolidates my argument.

The Cell's seven DSPs (what Sony calls SPEs) have no cache, no direct access to memory, no branch predictor, and a different instruction set from the PS3's main CPU. They are not designed for or efficient at general purpose computing. DSPs are not appropriate for game programming.

They are so completely wrong on so many levels it's not funny. SPEs can proccess floating point very fast, however they can proccess Integers and other data types just as well, they are not restricted to floating point proccessing in any way shape or form. And they can have direct access to memory if the programmer wants it, and they have very large amount of local cache.

You made up 100% of your statements kiddo.

How is the PS3 far superior to the Xbox 360 in every way? Xbox360 is superior hardware wise. Gamewise, it is a matter of opinon. You cannont use that as an argument. Some ppl like Gran Turismo, some like Project Gotham and such ect...

Xbox has no experience in the field? Then what do you call the nearly 5 years Xbox has been out ?

Give me a link to where MS said the 360 is more like an Xbox 1.5 than a true 2. Your an opinionated Sony Fanboy and you would follow them wherever they go and eat any crap they feed you.

Come back when you read something other than a Sony Magazine to base all of your opinions on. :roll:
